Pumpkin Fun Run – Sunday October 31st, 2011

Held on Halloween this year! The Great Pumpkin Fun Run & 5K race is a foot-stomping event for serious runners and families alike. In addition to the 5K course through Lakewood’s beautiful tree-lined streets, a one-mile fun run takes place in Lakewood Park, a perfect event for families with young children on the move. Come in costume and scare up a ghoulishly good time! Team and family discounts available! All proceeds benefit our recipient organizations.

Elves Auction

Every November, JWCL holds the Elves Auction, an evening of holiday cheer and perhaps, early Christmas shopping. Our theme of “Make it, Bake it, Sew it, Grow it” allows our members to share their talents for a fun-filled auction that raises money for Ways and Means and the Community Fund. Past auction items include a gourmet dinner for six with wine, family movie night basket, sailboat dinner cruise on Lake Erie, yearly supply of cookies, gardening services and much more.
